Melbourne Uni technology Failure

I am a proud student at Melbourne University. I was even feeling clever, and decided to re-enrol as soon as I got the notice this year. However, I couldn’t make it work, and the page kept giving me an error. I was going to chalk it up to random University internet issues, when I received this email:

Dear Student,

Earlier today you were sent an email concerning re-enrolment. If you have
successfully re-enrolled in the last couple of days then you can disregard
this email.

If you are yet to re-enrol, please note the announcement on the Student
Portal advising students not to use Mozilla Firefox 3. We recommend that you
use an alternative browser.

Regards,

University of Melbourne, are you spending too much time on the Melbourne Model and not enough time keeping up with the rest of us?

@dragonfly: It seems totally bizarro from Uni IT depts – perhaps it is optimized for IE?
